Abstract : Twenty-two decision-making dyads of complex conceptual structure and twenty-two dyads of simple structure participated in a simulated decision making task under conditions of experimentally-induced success and failure. Eighteen measures of integrative decision making and twelve measures of content area decision making were obtained through analysis of each dyad's decision sequence and decision characteristics. Raw data were transformed to normalized scores and repeatedly factored. Eight factors were extracted and interpreted from a varimax rotation. Analyses of variance demonstrated differences on factor scores between simple and complex dyads on a number of factors. Comparisons of this analysis to a previous analysis are made, and the implications of the data for the measurement of decision making are considered. (Author)
