Abstract : A study was made of the adhesion of monodispersing systems of quartz, glasses, graphites, clays, earth, and rosin (colophony) of quartz, glasses, metals, and paraffin in water, mineral oils and some other liquids. The diameter of the particles was from 0.8 to 0.5 micron. Measurements were made with the help of a modified method by which the displacement angle was determined and unique method based on breaking away of the adhered particles with normal and tangential centrifugal forces.
