Abstract : Perfluoropropene and O2F2 reacted to give two new compounds (CF3)2CFOOF and CF3CF2CF2OOF, however it was not possible to separate these isomers from each other. In an attempt to prepare pure Cf3CF2CF2OOF, perfluorocyclopropane was allowed to react with O2F2. The reaction of perfluoroethylene oxide and O2F2 was also studied. The mechanism of the reaction of COF2 and OF2 to give CF3OOOCF3 is being studied by conventional and oxygen-17 tracer techniques. (Author)
