Abstract : A new method is developed for the solution of linear pursuitevasion problems. A pursuitevasion problem, which will be defined precisely in a later section, mainly consists of a two dynamical systems usually denoted by P and E. It is assumed that P is trying to 'intercept' E against opposition from E, where 'interception' is defined in some precise way. The theory of minimumnormed linear functionals is used in this article to solve such problems of linear type. (Author)
