Abstract : The buckling of stiffened conical shells is analyzed by an approach in which the stiffeners are considered as linear discontinuities represented by the Dirac delta function. Donnell-type stability equations for discretely stiffened conical shells are obtained and solved for simple supports by displacements similar to those used for unstiffened conical shells. (Author)
