Abstract : The solution found by other authors for the discontinuity problem between an empty rectangular waveguide and the same guide completely filled with transversely magnetized ferrite, solution which fails for a certain range of the ferrite parameters, has been modified by introducing a ferrite-metal surface wave, in order to obtain the correct solution.
