Abstract : A correspondence principle of linear viscoelasticity theory for mixed boundary value problems with time-dependent boundary regions was studied by Graham in which the associated elastic solutions are required to satisfy certain restricted conditions. In this paper a generalized correspondence principle is given in which no restrictions are imposed on the associated elastic solutions. The results can be extended to thermo-rheologically simple viscoelastic media if the temperature field is either purely position-dependent or purely time-dependent. (Author)
