Abstract : Time-dependent properties of uniaxially fiber reinforced materials composed of linear viscoelastic matrix and elastic fibers are investigated. Sample calculations are given for the static and dynamic properties of a viscoelastic fiber reinforced material. In addition, the behavior of fiber reinforced viscoelastic structures is investigated, and a number of practical problems for beams, plates, and shells, subjected to static and dynamic loadings, are analyzed.
