Abstract : The infrared spectrum of ice VI recovered at liquid-nitrogen temperature and atmospheric pressure has been investigated in the range .04000-.050/cm. The spectrum closely resembles that of ice 5, and shows conclusively that ice VI is orientationally disordered when recovered in this way. (Author)
