Abstract : An uncontrolled satellite network of special configuration, for global navigational-satellite systems that are continuously operative within assigned belts of longitude and latitude of the earth's surface, is examined. The solutions proposed to provide for navigation of ships at sea using these systems are based on the theory of the Keplerian motion of satellites in the central gravitational field of a spherical model of the earth.
