Abstract : Details of the features of light scattering from ice particles formed via condensation by homogeneous nucleation are presented. An argon-ion laser is used and the results indicate that dipole or Rayleigh scattering is applicable to the situation under study. In addition, measurements of the number and the mean radius of the particles are made. (Author)
