Abstract : Objectives achieved on this joint experimental and theoretical project include a better understanding of the ferromagnetism arising from interaction between conduction electrons and local moments; magnetocrystalline anisotropy in rare earths; band theory of arsenic, bismuth, and antimony; nuclear spin relaxation; properties of ice; spin diffusion; line shapes, especially relating steady state absorption to free induction decay; and excitation of nuclear spin waves of finite wavelength.
