Abstract : By observing departures from Matthiessen's rule, the electrical resistivity for each spin direction is dilute ferromagnetic Ni-Co and Ni-Fe alloys was obtained. A phase-shift calculation for the majority spin carriers was performed to determine the parameters of a square-well potential assumed to represent the impurity center. From the potentials, values of the characteristic thermopower and the changes in the electronic specific heat, on alloying, for these electrons have been obtained. (Author)
