Abstract : The study deals primarily with the problems connected with refraction. The following discussions regarding these problems are discussed in this work: (1) Optical inhomogeneity of the earth's atmosphere. (2) Effect of fluctuations of the refraction index on the propagation of the light waves. (3) Image motion in telescopes. (4) Results of observations of image motion and their analysis. (5) Images motion as a random process. (6) Bead structure of stellar trails and stellar scintillation. (Author)
