Abstract : The level of the mechanical properties of the single-phased alpha and double-phased alpha-beta titanium alloys in the cast state depends not only on the addition, but on the condition of crystallization and phase recrystallization; the latter shows a significantly greater effect than the process of crystallization. The stability of alpha and alpha-beta titanium alloys in the cast state determines the cooling rate of the beta region. However, the rate of cooling does not influence the plasticity of the single-phased alpha alloys. The effect of crystallization on the mechanical properties of titanium alloys in the cast state increases with increasing amount of alloy component. The micro-structures of alpha and alpha-beta titanium alloys in cast state are characterized by a plastic formation. (Author)
