Abstract : The research project investigated some of the social psychological consequences of differential stress resulting from the threat of job displacement upon naval shipyard civilian personnel. The present report gives: the project design; a review of the literature; the major hypothesis; the procedure; a bibliography; and the research instruments administered to employees of the Brooklyn and Portsmouth naval shipyards in 1965.
