Abstract : One of the important characteristics in polymers is the amount of crystalline which determines their physicomechanical properties. Infrared spectroscopy, one of the methods for its determination, is based on the appearance in the spectrum of specific polymer absorption bands, the intensity of which depends on the amount of crystalline content and amorphous parts in separation. The purpose of the work was to determine the crystalline content in unoriented specimens of polyethylene terephthalate (PETF), with the aid of infrared spectroscopy. For this, some bands were found that are sensitive to the crystalline and amorphous parts separately. Unoriented fiber of PETF was chosen as the material for the investigation. (Author)
