Abstract : The program stressed the development of an integrated theoretical approach to role theory, the study of educational roles, application of role theory to organizations, and the conducting of experimental and field studies designed to test crucial role hypotheses. Major projects accomplished within the life of the contract included the publication of a text-reader for the role field and the accomplishment of a major, comparative study of educational roles within English-speaking countries.
