Abstract : The report is divided into three parts. Part A is entitled 'Fault Location in Cellular Arrays.' A detailed consideration is given to establishing efficient tests for locating faults in cellular arrays. The assumptions are made that access can be made for testing purposes only at the edges of the array, and that the number of required tests must be kept within practical limits. Part B is entitled 'Unate Cellular Logic.' By removing the dyadic functions of exclusive-or and identity from the allowable set in a single cell, it was found that the cascade functions are unate. Much of the established knowledge on unate switching functions was found to be applicable to such cellular arrays. Part C is entitled 'Bulk Transfer Logic.' Principles of abstract algebra are applied to the problem of mapping one cellar array onto another cellular array. (Author)
