Abstract : In the freehand positioning of stereoscopic materials, which occurs with pocket steroscopes, various small degrees of misalignment, within the fusion tolerance, are likely to result. This is the second of two reports on a study of possible visual fatigue from such misalignment. Experimentation was carried out with a reading task. The text was prepared in duplicate columns, and viewed through special stereoscopes which permitted vertical or rotary misalignment in controlled amounts to be introduced. Part 2 reports, the effect of rotary misalignment (cyclotorsion). (Author)
