Abstract : The paper gives the general equation for the admittance ratio or response function of burning solid propellant. A single chart based on this equation, has been constructed which simplifies obtaining the admittance from experimental data. The conventional, approximate equation, used in all TBurner computations, is shown to be a special case of the general equation, valid only at high frequencies. A discussion of the mechanisms responsible for the oscillating frequency being different from the natural frequency is given. It is also shown how by measuring the mean temperatures in the TBurner these frequencies can be determined and used in the admittance computation. (Author)
