Abstract : A series of four rocket experiments were performed during the solar eclipse of November 12, 1966, at Cassino, Brazil, to determine the positive and negative conductivities of the atmosphere below 80 km. The conductivity data was interpreted in terms of positive and negative ion and electron densities. The density data was used with the positive ion continuity equation to determine the ion-ion recombination coefficient. (Author)
