Abstract : The variation in the vibration level of hydraulic motors with ball bearing supports was investigated on hydraulic motors supported by ball bearings. It was found that two principal sources may cause vibration variations: (1) the geometrical and physical quality of the ball bearing manufacturing process, and (2) the motor's technological running-in conditions. To assure a constant vibration in hydraulic motors supported by ball bearings, the spinning axes of the balls must be constant or periodically variable in their position. In the first case, there must be no sliding of the balls, while in the second case, the sliding must be permanent. (Author)
