Abstract : The effect of such binding media as acetone, benzene, castor oil, glycerine, acetylcellulose, cyanethylcellulose, alpha naphthysulfone, and nitrile of succinic acid on the brightness of electroluminescence condensors was investigated in detail. The experimental data confirmed the correctness of the Robert's equation correlating the brightness of the electroluminescence layers with the dielectric constant of the binding medium. It was found that one of the important roles played by the binding medium is to modify the field strength of the phosphorus.
