Abstract : An inorganic polyphosphate binder for fiberglass was developed. The binder was composed of a mixture of potassium and sodium polyphosphates in a determined ratio (not given). Heat-insulating materials made of ultra-thin fiberglass with the new binder exhibited high heat resistance adequate mechanical strength, and low density. In addition, they are resistant to combined thermal and vibrational loads. (Author)
