Abstract : The laminar boundary layer equations with pressure gradient and with suction or blowing are approximately solved analytically by an iteration method. The resulting velocity profile provides criteria for separation and stability as a function of pressure gradient and suction or blowing. This method is simpler and more versatile as well as more accurate than the classical Karman-Pohlhausen method. (Author)
