Abstract : A lesion was placed on the foveal area of a rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta). Visual acuity tests conducted before and after production of the lesion indicated a post-lesion reduction in visual acuity of about 67 percent, i.e., from approximately 1 minute of arc to about 3 minutes of arc. The results are discussed in relation to other studies dealing with suprathreshold lesion studies. (Author)
