Abstract : The mechanical properties of filament reinforced composites consisting of boron and silicon carbide filaments in an electrodeposited nickel matrix from the sulfamate bath, were investigated. Specific attention was given to filament strength and bond strength characteristics of the filament-matrix interface and the effects from current density, filament surface etching and heat treatment.
