Abstract : The burning of an atomized liquid fuel is a sufficiently complex process so that all aspects of real physical phenomena should be taken into account in describing this process. However, in determining a number of integral characteristics, we can adopt a simplified model of the combustion process, which assumes that the burning out of a two-phase flow in forced-pressure combustion chambers is determined by the evaporation of fuel droplets. In these studies methods are given for calculating the burning out process for various technical applications either in the approximation that the jet is monodisperse, or in a more accurate approximation that reduces to a study of several groups of droplets of definite size.
