Abstract : Cellular fractions were isolated from the chorioallantoic membranes of chick embryos which were infected with Sendai virus (strain LM1). Preliminary data show that synthesis of viral protein (hemagglutinin) is connected with mitochondria and microsomes, but to a greater degree with the latter. After destruction of cellular fractions an increase was observed in the amount of hemagglutinins in the mitochondria and microsomes. In the nuclei the hemagglutinins were revealed in barely noticeable amounts both before and after their destruction. (Author)
