Abstract : This paper describes some novel instruments and briefly illustrates Canadian practices in regard to more conventional instrumentation including the sensing of vehicle performance parameters of importance to the scientific experiments. Among the instruments described is an auroral scanning photometer, narrow band photometers for observation of specific spectral lines, electron density probes, particle counters, X-ray and ultraviolet detectors and certain ejected packages for field measurements.
