Abstract : The paper describes a survey of the anticentre region of the Galaxy at 13.1 MHz in which the method of aperture synthesis was employed to achieve a resolution of 2 degrees .7 x 6 degrees .3 at the zenith. The major inaccuracies of the survey were introduced by (a) the lack of adequate calibrating sources, and (b) grating sidelobes. The observations indicate that ionized hydrogen is concentrated in discrete regions in the galactic plane rather than in any general disc-like distribution. (Author)
