Abstract : The research was designed to further substantiate and elaborate on the correlation between interphase chromosome volume and LD50 of a species as an effective predictor of radiation sensitivity. The predictive equations could then be introduced into overall models on ecological effects from a given dose of radiation. The study is subdivided into three areas: plants, insects, and mammals.
