Abstract : The report is concerned with research which was performed to determine reading speed and comprehension when positive transparencies (black alphanumerics on white backgrounds) and negative (white alphanumerics on black backgrounds) text displays are read using front and rear projection techniques. The findings indicated that greatest speed and comprehension rates were obtained when subjects read positive displays. Front-Rear project techniques did not differ significantly which might in part be due to the unique display design. (Author)
