Abstract : The article discusses the possibility of using layered combustible absorbents to compensate the reactivity of nuclear reactors. A method is proposed which makes it possible, in an P sub 1-approximation of neutron distribution outside an absorbent having no scattering, to calculate the space-time distribution of the absorbing material in a plane, combustible absorbent consisting of several layers of mixed materials.
