Abstract : The paper gives a practical method of predicting the minimum drop altitude and the horizontal distance for G-12D, 28-foot ring-slot, and 22-foot ring-slot parachutes for loads using 20, 30, and 40 second squib, disreefing cutters. The statistical methods used are those of multiple regression based on the observed theodolite data from 46 drops. Sufficient detail is given to allow extension of the tabled results to physical situations not specifically included. (Author)
