Abstract : Significant errors in diesel fuel systems calculations are often made due to an initial assumption that a residual pressure is maintained in the fuel injection line often injection is completed. Under some conditions, a vacuum is created in the injection line instead of a residual pressure; an analysis of calculated and experimental data shows that the pressure of the resultant free space has an essential influence on the process of fuel injection, including a decrease in cylindrical feed, an increase in delay at the beginning of injection add a sharp fluctuation in fuel pressure.
