Abstract : Powder alloys of aluminum with chromium and iron are produced by the spraying method, with strips pressed from these alloys to dimensions of 45 by 10 mm. At room and elevated temperatures the structural and mechanical properties of the powder alloys were studied and x-ray structural and phase analyses carried out. It is demonstrated that spraying is an effective method of hardening alloys from the liquid state to produce highly supersaturated solid solutions.
