Abstract : The energy-dependence of the average high-latitude cutoff of trapped electrons during the period August 1966 to September 1967 was determined on the basis of data obtained from the magnetic spectrometer onboard polar satellite OV3-3 (1966-70A). The cutoff latitude decreases as the energy increases between 300 keV to 2.0 MeV. The cutoffs are compared with a theoretical calculation of Taylor, and with the magnetospheric models of Williams and Mead, and Taylor and Hones. (Author)
