Abstract : The influence of phosphorus, silicon, iron, the nitrate and ammonium nitrogen on primary production in water basins is discussed. The experiments were conducted in 1966 at the Kartesh Biological Station in the White Sea. In three series of tests with various amounts and combinations of the added chemicals, the diverse effects on production were recorded and analyzed. (Author)
