Abstract : A model is described which can be used to analyze the behavior of sequential crew systems. Such systems consist of two or more crews following one another in a fixed sequence with each crew completing a particular task on a unit being constructed, repaired or serviced. The model is useful in those cases where crew service times can be approximated by one of the family of Erlang distributions. An analysis of the general behavior of sequential crew systems is included. (Author)
