Abstract : By methods of microstructural, electrochemical and X-ray analyses it was shown that base niobium alloys (system Nb-W-Mo-Zr-C), containing zirconium in their composition age at temperatures 900-1100 degrees C with the formation of oxide, nitride and carbide phases. The deformed and annealed states were studied for prolonged use at high temperatures in relation to coagulation and the embrittling effect of oxide and nitride phases.
