Abstract : The microstructural characteristics of the plastic flow of a nickel-titanium alloy were studied in view of the use of such materials as the basis of many commercial heat resistant alloys. High temperature metallographic methods were used making it possible to observe kinetics of the microstructure changes developing on the sample surface, and in turn making it possible to establish the laws of formation and development of deformations in the material under study.
