Abstract : The laws of the distribution of temperature and wind in the boundary layer of the atmosphere was investigated. It was found that the variation of temperature with height depends both upon stratification and distance from the underlying surface. The application of these relationships in calculating wind shear in the boundary layer as a function of wind speed and stratification in this layer as a function of wind speed and stratification in this layer and in computing the turbulence coefficient in this layer is illustrated.
