Abstract : The effect of adsorptively-active liquid metals on solid (metals) during deformation appears in different forms. One effect of their influence is an increase of the creep rate of solid metals. This effect just as other effects of the easing of plastic deformation (lowering of yield point and coefficient of hardening during deformation at constant speed), is determined by the decrease of the power barrier preventing dislocations on the metal surface. The existence of the barrier is connected with the formation of new step-wise surface at the place of the edge dislocation. (Author)
