Abstract : The optimum temperature for stabilization of Lavsan fiber should be considered to be 160-180 degrees C with a duration of treatment of 4-5 minutes; for combined fibers (Lavsan and viscose fiber) the optimum parameters are 150-160 degrees C and 10 minutes. These regimes provided improved strength and elongation, low shrinkage, and low collapsibility of the yarn. Thermofixation of Lavsan fibers, now conducted at 120-150 degrees C at the factory, should be studied further, since the given temperature is located in the zone of the temperature of unstable state of the polymer.
