Abstract : The results of experimental investigations of the degree of polarization of scattered forward and reflected light are discussed, including laser-emission in artificial fog and smoke. Results obtained show that during dispersion of narrow laser beams the theory of momentary scattering describes not only the dependence of scattered light intensity on optical thickness, but also the polarizing ability of scattered forward light.
