Abstract : An earlier paper related expenditure per pupil and school district size to average achievement performance of pupils in basic subjects in a sample of school districts in New York State. The data have been reanalyzed with an eye to shedding some light upon production function relationships of education when considered as a firm. The paper outlines some findings from that research.
