Abstract : A procedure for deriving equations for calculating the correlation function to study characteristics of the turbulence regime is described. The entire interval of a record of random functions is divided into intervals of length and it is considered that in an interval of time there are present intervals of length. The correlation function, involving two point moments of the second order, is expressed. Another method of analyzing the experimental data consists of first determining the values of the mathematical expectation of a product and then proceeding to the value of the correlation function using the general relationship between central and initial moments of the second order.
