Abstract : A two-stage treatment of cellulose was developed which imparts persistent resistance to sunlight and the action of soil microorganisms. The process involves formation of rhodanine-copper-cellulose compounds by interaction of rhodanine with a copper-cellulose complex. Data presented indicate the increased stability of the treated fabrics in comparison to untreated and copper cellulose forms. (Author)
